Coastal Chinoiserie

Some of us are likely off to the beach these last two weeks of August. DC is a veritable ghost town this time of year. This vignette is a lovely example of what I call Coastal Chinoiserie. Isn't this a great space by Celerie Kemble?  I am wild about the mix of the Chinoiserie white altar console table, pagoda mirror, grasscloth walls, and orchid with that crazy good pair of orange artichokes. With the seaweed art and the basket, the whole thing has a great Chinoiserie meets Hollywood Regency meets Coastal vibe.
