I'm in love with this room done by the mother and daughter interior design team The Rinfret Group. This is from the American Heart Association show house. I love the traditional, modern, preppy, Chinoiserie vibe - just my style. It pretty much checks all the boxes for me -

Yesterday I posted on a lovely foyer from New England Home with a subtle and understated approach to the use of Chinoiserie. The room above by Phoebe Howard is in the same mode, with lots of neutrals and brown woods accented by soft blues. New Inspiration Board and Blogiversary Giveaway

For the living room of my fantasy Chinoiserie Chic house, I have stried the walls in a deep coral. A large Audobon flamingo print hangs above the Aidan sofa from Crate and Barrel. An oversized Fornasetti ottoman serves as the cocktail table. The pair of blue egg chairs in wool and cashmere is quite fun. A pair of Marjorie Skouras chandeliers in black will be quite dramatic against the walls. The pillows are coral velvet zebra. A zebra rug picks up the black and white in the room. The end tables are gilded bamboo with mirrored shelves. Don't forget to enter my blogiversary giveaway here.

Paule Marrot Feathers Inspiration Board

I have always wanted to do a room using Paule Marrot's iconic work "Feathers" as the focal point. Here I have created a living room with a modern Crate and Barrel Aidan sofa, a pair of antique Chinese garden stools, fretwork pillows from Furbish, a Jonathan Adler pink zebra rug, a black marble Saarinen cocktail table from Room and Board, and a pair of Seville chairs from Room and Board inspired by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. I could be quite happy in this living room - feminine but sophisticated, with a mix of periods and Chinoiserie, just my style.
